Hey guys, what’s up? It’s your boy back at it again. Today, I’m gonna share something about this movie, “Shot Caller.” I watched it the other day, and there’s this book they keep mentioning called “The Human Animal.” It got me curious, so I went down a rabbit hole. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a trip.

Started with a Simple Search
First, I tried to find the book. I mean, the way they talked about it in the movie, I thought it was a real thing, you know? So I Googled “The Human Animal book.” I figured it was some kind of philosophy book or something, maybe about how people can turn savage in certain situations, given the movie’s plot and all that.
Found Out It’s Not Real
Turns out, the book isn’t even real! I read through a bunch of forum posts and articles. People were saying it was made up for the movie. Apparently, this person named Kieran Sequoia, who worked on the movie set, got credited as the author. I guess they just wanted a cool-sounding title or something to fit the theme, and thought maybe nobody would notice that it isn’t real.
Digging Deeper
- Searched for Kieran Sequoia: I tried to find out more about this Kieran Sequoia person. Thought maybe they had written other stuff. But it looks like they’re mainly involved in film production, not a real author. That was a dead end.
- Looked for similar books: Since “The Human Animal” wasn’t real, I tried finding actual books with similar themes. You know, stuff about human nature, maybe some psychology or sociology. I did find a few interesting titles, but nothing exactly like what I imagined “The Human Animal” to be. I got some inspiration, you could say.
Made My Own Conclusions
So, after all that, I just kinda pieced things together myself. I watched the movie again, paying more attention to the parts where they mention the book. The book was a metaphor, about the beast inside all of us. It’s about how circumstances can push people to do things they wouldn’t normally do, to survive. It’s all about how even a normal guy can end up going down a dark path given some bad luck.
Wrapped It Up
It was a pretty wild goose chase, to be honest. But it was kinda fun, too. It’s like being a detective or something. I always enjoy learning new stuff, even if it starts with a fictional book from a movie. Anyways, that’s my little adventure for you guys. Hope you found it interesting. Catch you in the next one!
