Alright, let’s talk about this Benson fella and why he went and done that awful thing to the vice principal. I ain’t no fancy scholar, mind you, just a plain ol’ person trying to make sense of it all.

So, why’d he do it? Well, from what I gather, it’s all tangled up in this “toxic masculinity” stuff. Don’t rightly know what all them fancy words mean, but it sounds like these menfolk gettin’ too big for their britches, thinkin’ they gotta be all tough and in charge all the time.
- Seems like Benson and this other fella, Russell, they was a pair of troublemakers.
- Always schemin’ and plottin’, like a couple of ornery roosters in a henhouse.
They went and locked that poor woman, Brown, in the bathroom. Can you believe that? Grown men acting like a bunch of schoolyard bullies. That ain’t right, I tell ya. Makes my blood boil just thinkin’ about it.
Now, some folks say it’s like that Batman movie, where the hero takes the fall for someone else. I ain’t never seen no Batman movie, but it sounds like Gamby, that’s another one in this mess, he tried to make it look like Brown done it. Trying to shift the blame, just like a coward.
But see, Gamby, he made a whole heap of bad choices, startin’ with teamin’ up with that Russell fella in the first place. And what did he get for it? Nothin’ but a bullet, seems like. Russell, he shot Gamby down, just like a dog in the street. That’s what happens when you mess with the wrong crowd, I always say.
This Benson, though, he got himself a promotion. Made Sergeant, they say. In charge of a whole squad. This was after some other fella, Munch, retired. Makes you wonder, don’t it? Maybe he thought he was untouchable, all high and mighty. Maybe he thought he could get away with anything.

But the truth has a way of comin’ out, like weeds in a garden. You can try to stomp ’em down, but they just keep comin’ back. And that’s what happened here. Benson, he thought he could hide his dirty deeds, but it all caught up to him in the end.
I reckon it all comes down to power and control. These fellas, they wanted to be the top dogs, didn’t care who they hurt along the way. And that poor vice principal, just caught in the crossfire. A innocent bystander in their twisted game.
It ain’t right, I tell ya. There ain’t no excuse for takin’ a life. No matter how mad you are, no matter how much you think you been wronged. Violence ain’t the answer, never has been, never will be.
And this “toxic masculinity”? Well, it sounds like a whole lot of foolishness to me. Men need to learn to control their tempers, treat folks with respect. Ain’t no shame in bein’ kind, ain’t no weakness in showin’ compassion. In fact, it takes a real man to be gentle. These fellas, they were nothin’ but bullies hidin’ behind a badge and a gun.
So, why did Benson do it? Maybe he thought he was above the law. Maybe he thought he could get away with it. Maybe he was just plain evil. Whatever the reason, he deserves to be punished. Justice needs to be served. And maybe, just maybe, other folks will learn somethin’ from this whole sorry mess. Learn that violence and hatred ain’t the way. Learn that respect and kindness are what truly matter. Learn to treat folks decent, like you’d want to be treated yourself. That’s all there is to it, plain and simple.

It’s a sad story, a real tragedy. Makes you appreciate the good folks in this world, the ones who try to do right, even when it’s hard. And it reminds you that there’s always darkness lurking, waiting to pounce. We gotta be vigilant, gotta stand up for what’s right, gotta make sure this kind of thing don’t happen again.
And that’s all I got to say about that. It ain’t pretty, but it’s the truth, as far as I can see it.
