Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with that golf ball Tiger Woods uses, the Tour B XS. I’ve heard some things about it, mostly that it’s the same as the regular Tour B XS but just has Tiger’s name on it. But hey, I wanted to see for myself.

First off, I grabbed a box of these bad boys. They look pretty much like any other golf ball, white, dimpled, you know the drill. But they do have “TIGER” stamped on them, which is kind of cool, I guess. I mean, who doesn’t want to feel a bit like Tiger when they’re out on the course?
I took them out to the range to give them a whack. My first swing felt… normal. I mean, it’s a golf ball, right? But then I started to notice something. My shots were going a bit further. Not like, crazy far, but noticeably further. And they felt really good coming off the club.
- I did some chipping and putting too.
- Around the greens, they felt really soft, which I liked.
- Gave me a good amount of control, you know?
- I could really feel the ball on the clubface, which made it easier to judge my shots.
They say this ball has something called “Reactiv Cover Technology.” I don’t really know what that means, but I guess it’s supposed to help with control. And yeah, I have to say, I did feel like I had a bit more control over the ball. My shots were more consistent, and I could place the ball pretty much where I wanted it.
Conclusion Time
So, is the Tiger Woods Tour B XS any different from the regular Tour B XS? From what I can tell, not really. But does it make you feel like a pro? Maybe a little. I mean, it’s got Tiger’s name on it! Overall, it’s a solid golf ball. Good distance, good control, good feel. I’d say it’s worth a try if you’re looking for a new ball. I definitely had some fun playing with these, and that was the whole point. I feel good after playing and want to go again soon.
