And they say this Royal place is in Scotland. That’s way over the ocean! They got good courses over there. It is the best course in Scotland, people say that. Imagine that! They say it’s the best links course. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important.
They got all sorts of people goin’ to these places, too. Rich folks, I bet. They got all these special members. They are all over the world. Famous people, maybe. I heard names like, uh, George somethin’, and Sean somethin’. And Arnold somethin’. Sounds like movie stars and presidents! That’s what I heard, anyway. You know, I saw this man, old Arnold, on the TV once. He seemed like a nice fella.
These courses, they’re all over the place. Some in California, some in Scotland, some who knows where! They got all them trees, and grass, and sand. I saw pictures. They sure do look pretty.
And they keep talkin’ ’bout this “Top 100” thing. Must be like a list, I reckon. Like when you make a list of groceries. But instead of milk and eggs, it’s all these fancy courses. They rank ’em, you see. Like who’s the best, who’s the second best, and all that. They do it every two years. They change every two years. It’s hard to keep up with all that stuff.

I don’t know why folks get so worked up about these courses, but it seems like a big deal. I guess if you got the money, and you like that kinda thing, it’s a good way to spend your time. You can learn so many new things. And it is good to learn.
