Okay, here’s my attempt at writing a blog post in the style you described, about the “top ten hardest games”:

So, I decided to jump on this “hardest games” bandwagon. Everyone’s talking about them, making lists, arguing which pixel-perfect jump is truly the most infuriating. I figured, why not? I’ve rage-quit my fair share of games, so let’s see if I can contribute something to this masochistic discussion.
First, I scoured the internet. You know, the usual suspects: Reddit, gaming forums, those “Top 10” YouTube videos where some guy with a booming voice yells at you for ten minutes. I jotted down every game that came up more than, say, three times. That seemed like a decent starting point. My list was…long. Like, “scroll for days” long.
Then came the “fun” part: playing them. Or, more accurately, attempting to play them. I quickly realized that “hard” comes in many flavors. There’s the “hard but fair” kind, where you know why you died and can (theoretically) learn from it. Then there’s the “screw you, player” kind, where the game just throws random BS at you and laughs.
- Category 1: “Precision Platformers.” Think Super Meat Boy, Celeste. These games demand pixel-perfect timing and make you question your reflexes (and your sanity).
- Category 2: “Bullet Hell Shooters.” Ikaruga, Touhou Project… These are basically interactive seizures. So many bullets. So much dodging. So little hope.
- Category 3: “Souls-likes.” Of course. Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro. You know the drill. Die, learn, die again, maybe make some progress, die some more.
- Category 4: “Puzzle the designer brain.” Think * rule is easy, but the processing…
- Category 5:“Old-School Cruelty.”*-era games that were designed to eat quarters at the arcade. No mercy.
I spent a good week bashing my head against these digital walls. I swore a lot. I contemplated throwing my controller out the window. I questioned my life choices. You know, the usual.
After all that “research” (aka suffering), I had a list,And I don’t want to be a spoiler,so I won’t list the final top ten here(maybe in the next blog?!).But I am so suprised by my top *’s QWOP.
