Okay, so the other day I was trying to order some food, and I really wanted a turkey leg. But, uh, the menu was all in Spanish. I was like, “Shoot, how do I even say ‘turkey leg’?”

So, first, I whipped out my phone and did a quick search. I typed in “turkey leg in Spanish,” and bam! The first thing that popped up was “muslo de pavo.” I was like, “Okay, cool, ‘muslo de pavo’.”
My learning process
- Find the right wordI learned from Google that the word is “muslo de pavo”.
- Remember the wordI tried saying it a few times. “Muslo… de… pavo.” I even tried to picture a turkey leg in my head while saying it, you know, to help me remember.
- Use it in lifeFinally,I ordered the food successfully.
It wasn’t too hard to pronounce, thankfully. “Muslo” kind of sounds like “moose-low,” and “pavo” is pretty straightforward, like “pah-voh.” I practiced saying it a few times to myself so I wouldn’t sound like a total goof when I ordered.
Anyway, I managed to order my turkey leg, and it was delicious! Now I know, next time I’m craving some “muslo de pavo,” I’m all set.
