Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this UFC middleweight Cobra Kai thing, or whatever it’s called. Don’t know much about these fancy names, but I watched some of it on that there TV thingy my grandson set up.

So, there’s this show, “Cobra Kai,” and it’s got all these young’uns fightin’. Reminds me of them schoolyard brawls back in my day, ‘cept these kids got fancy moves. They kick and punch and do all sorts of flippin’ and floppin’. Now, they say some of these moves are like that MMA stuff, you know, the real fightin’ on TV? Heard tell there’s a fella, a real UFC middleweight fighter, showed up in the show. Don’t rightly remember his name, somethin’ like Eric, maybe? Anyways, he got knocked out in the show, which is kinda funny considerin’ he’s supposed to be a tough guy.
Them kids in “Cobra Kai,” they’re somethin’ else, though. They got this big tournament, somethin’ called Sekai Taikai. Sounds all foreign and fancy, don’t it? It’s for teenagers, though, which is kinda weird. Back in my day, teenagers were milkin’ cows and helpin’ on the farm, not fightin’ in some fancy tournament.
- There’s this one kid, Miguel, they say he’s real good.
- And another one, Robby, they say he’s strong as an ox.
- But then there’s this Hawk fella. Now, he’s somethin’ special. He’s fast, he’s tough, and he’s got all them fancy moves. He’s what them young’uns call “iconic,” whatever that means.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but from what I seen, this “Cobra Kai” fightin’ is a mix of different styles. They got kicks and punches like that kickboxing stuff. And then they get on the ground and wrestle around like them jiu-jitsu fellas. It’s a whole hodgepodge, if you ask me. But they say it’s based on some kinda karate, Cobra Kai Karate they call it. It’s got them side kicks and roundhouse kicks, and punches too, like that old Chuck Norris fella used to do. He was a tough one, that Chuck Norris.
This “Cobra Kai” show, it’s on that Netflix thing. My grandson, he watches it all the time. Says it’s the best season yet. I don’t know about all that, but it’s got plenty of fightin’, that’s for sure. And them young’uns, they take it real serious. They train hard and they want to win, just like them UFC fighters.
Speaking of UFC, I saw some of that fightin’ on TV the other day. Them fellas are somethin’ else. They hit hard and they don’t give up. There was this one fella, somethin’ Pantoja, I think. He choked out some other guy and kept his title. Flyweight, they called it. Don’t know why they call it that, but he was a tough little fella.

So, this whole UFC middleweight Cobra Kai thing, it’s all about fightin’. Whether it’s them teenagers in the show or them grown men in the real fightin’, they all want to be the best. And they all train hard and they all got their own styles. Some are strong, some are fast, some are good on the ground, some are good standing up. It’s all the same in the end, just folks tryin’ to prove they’re the best. Just like back in my day, ‘cept we didn’t have no fancy tournaments or TV shows. We just had a good old-fashioned scrap in the schoolyard.
Now, folks online, they like to argue ’bout who’s the best. They make lists and all that. Say this one’s better than that one. It’s all just a bunch of opinions, if you ask me. But folks like to have their say, I guess.
And then there’s this Chozen fella in Cobra Kai. They say he’s real good too. Maybe the best, some folks reckon. I don’t rightly know, but he sure looks tough. Seems to know what he’s doin’. But that’s the way it is with fightin’, ain’t it? There’s always someone new comin’ along, tryin’ to be the best. Keeps things interestin’, I s’pose.
Anyway, that’s my take on this whole UFC middleweight Cobra Kai business. It’s a lot of fightin’, a lot of arguin’, and a lot of young’uns flippin’ and floppin’ around. Not sure what it all means, but it keeps them young’uns busy, I guess. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?
Best fighters in Cobra Kai are somethin’ else, always trainin’ and gettin’ stronger. Reminds me of workin’ on the farm, always somethin’ to be done, always gotta be tough to make it.
