Okay, so I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the top speed of the CBR600RR. I figured, what better way to find out than to test it myself? So, I grabbed my gear, and I went to a closed track to see what this bike could really do.

First off, I gotta say, this bike is quick. I mean, really quick. From a dead stop, I got it up to 60 mph in what felt like no time at all. My buddy was timing me, and he clocked it at around 3.28 seconds. Not too shabby, right? Getting to 100 mph was also a breeze, I did that in about 6.25 seconds. The acceleration on this thing is just insane. I mean it when I say this thing took off like a rocket, and I could feel the adrenaline pumping as I watched the speedometer climb.
After a few warm-up laps, I decided to really push it and go for the top speed. I tucked in, pinned the throttle, and watched the needle climb. I started hitting some serious speed, feeling the wind rushing past me like crazy. I noticed the bike handled great even at high speeds. I pushed and pushed.
- Warm-up: Did a few laps to get a feel for the bike and the track.
- Acceleration Tests: My buddy timed me from 0-60 mph and 0-100 mph.
- Top Speed Run: This is what we came for, right? Time to see what this baby’s got.
The Results
After a few attempts, I managed to hit a top speed of around 160 mph. Honestly, it felt like the bike could go even faster, but I didn’t want to push my luck. My buddy confirmed it was right around 160.1 mph. That’s one fast machine! This was crazy for me because I haven’t gone that fast before.
So there you have it, folks. The CBR600RR is one speedy machine. It’s got the acceleration, it’s got the top speed, and it’s just a blast to ride. I was exhausted but happy with the day’s results. I packed up my stuff and headed home, already thinking about my next adventure.
