Okay, so I’ve been trying to figure out what “total bet” really means. You see it all the time in betting, but I never really understood the ins and outs of it, you know?

First, I started by just making some bets without really thinking about it. I placed a few bets here and there, mostly on football games. I quickly realized that I was just throwing my money away because I didn’t really get how the total bet worked. I lost more than I won, obviously.
So, I decided to do some digging. I read a bunch of articles online and watched some videos. It took a while, but I finally started to piece it together.
My Understanding
- Total Bet: Basically, it’s a bet on the combined score of both teams in a game.
- Over/Under: The sportsbook sets a number, and you bet on whether the total score will be over or under that number.
Once I understood the basics, I started experimenting with small bets. I tried to find games where I had a good feeling about the total score. It wasn’t easy, and I definitely didn’t win every time. But I learned something new with each bet I placed.
Then, I started looking at past game data. I wanted to see if there were any patterns or trends that I could use to my advantage. I spent hours looking at scores, comparing teams, and trying to figure out which factors influenced the total score the most. For example, weather or the general speed of the game.
After a lot of trial and error, I finally started to see some results. I was making smarter bets, and I was winning more often. I still lose sometimes, of course, but now I feel like I actually know what I’m doing.

So, that’s my journey with total bets. It’s been a long process, but I’m glad I took the time to learn about it. Now, I can enjoy betting a bit more, and I don’t feel like I’m just throwing my money away. It’s still gambling, so there’s always risk involved, but at least now it feels a bit more calculated. And I keep recording my results and adjusting my strategy.
