Alright, listen up, y’all. Gonna tell ya ’bout this here stick, the Tactician Staff, in that there World of Warcraft thingamajig. My grandkid, he’s always yappin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d try and make some sense of it for ya. Don’t expect no fancy talk, though. I’m just gonna tell it like it is.

So, this Tactician Staff, it ain’t just any ol’ stick you find lyin’ around. It’s a powerful one, see? Folks say it belonged to some fella who knew how to fight real good, a real “tactician” they call him. Now, I ain’t sure what that means exactly, but I reckon it means he was smart ’bout whacking folks.
Where do you find this darn stick? Well, that’s the tricky part. It ain’t like goin’ down to the store and pickin’ one up, that’s for sure. My grandkid says you gotta go to this place called Scarlet Monastery. Sounds spooky, if you ask me. And it ain’t just one spot in that monastery, no sir. It could be in the graveyard, the library, the armory – heck, it could be anywhere in that darn place!
- Graveyard
- Library
- Armory
- All four wings (whatever that means!)
And get this, it ain’t easy to find even if you’re in the right place. They say it drops less than one percent of the time. That’s like lookin’ for a needle in a haystack, only the haystack is full of nasty monsters, I bet. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble for a stick, if you ask me.
Now, what makes this stick so special? Well, my grandkid says it’s got some good “stats.” Again, with the fancy words. From what I gather, it makes you hit harder and do more damage. Makes sense, I guess. A good stick should help you whack things better. They also say it’s a “two-hand” stick, which means you gotta hold it with both hands, I reckon. And it needs you to be at least level 26 to use it. Whatever that means. Kids these days and their levels.
What’s the level requirement? Level 26, they say. That’s like… well, I don’t rightly know what that’s like. But it sounds like you gotta be pretty strong or somethin’ to use it.

They also told me something about other sticks in this here World of Warcraft game. Said there’s a book in a graveyard about a commander retiring to a farm. Maybe he lost his stick there? Who knows! And there’s some talk about mage sticks changing and doing different things, like fire and frost and such. Sounds like magic to me, and I ain’t got no time for magic, let me tell ya.
And get this, they even got folks who teach you how to use these sticks! In Thunder Bluff and Orgrimmar for the Horde folks, and Stormwind and Darnassus for the Alliance. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over a stick, but I guess that’s how they do things in this Warcraft world.
Oh, and they say you can get good stuff to use in this game from all sorts of places. Raids, auctions, crafting, even just from doing quests. So, I guess if you can’t find this Tactician Staff, there’s other stuff out there. But my grandkid, he’s set on gettin’ that darn stick. Stubborn as a mule, that one.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know ’bout this Tactician Staff thing. It’s a rare stick you find in a spooky monastery, and it makes you hit harder. You gotta be level 26 to use it, and there’s folks who can teach you how. And if you can’t find it, well, there’s plenty of other stuff out there, I guess. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about sticks and monsters is makin’ me hungry.
Who can use this staff? Druids, Hunters, Mages, Priests, and Shamans, they say. Sounds like a whole bunch of folks to me.

And lastly, don’t you be forgetting that there’s all sorts of ways to get powerful items in this Season of Discovery, like they’re calling it. You can get stuff from big raids, buy it at auctions, make it yourself if you know how, or even get it just by finishing quests. So, if this here Tactician Staff is giving you a hard time, there’s other options, you see?
