Today, I wanted to mess around with some music, specifically remixing a Suzuki commercial jingle. I’ve always found those tunes oddly catchy, so I thought, “Why not try to make something out of it?”

Getting Started
First things first, I needed the source material. I spent some time browsing, and found some Suzuki advertisement videos. I grabbed a few that had decent audio quality and clear jingles.
Chopping and Slicing
Next, I pulled the audio files into my audio editor. It’s pretty basic, but it gets the job done. I started by isolating the parts of the jingle that I liked. This involved a lot of listening, cutting, and deleting until I had just the snippets I wanted to work with.
Building the Beat
With the jingle pieces ready, I started to build a beat around them. I wanted something kind of upbeat, so I experimented with different drum patterns and tempos. It took a while to find something that clicked, playing around with different rhythms until I got something I like.
Adding Some Flavor
Once the basic beat was in place, I felt like it needed something more. I added some bass, messing with different notes until it fit the jingle samples. Then I layered in some extra sounds, just some simple stuff to give it more depth.
Mixing and Tweaking
After everything was layered together, it was time to mix it all properly. This part took a while, adjusting the volume levels of each track, I make sure nothing was too loud or too quiet. and I kept listening and making small changes until it sounded right.
The Final Result
Finally, I had a finished remix! It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It took an existing commercial jingle and made something new and kind of fun.
