Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get a new purse for a while now. Something stylish, you know, but also practical. I went online and saw that Valspar was having a sale on some of their 2024 models and thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

I started by browsing their website. They had a bunch of different colors listed, like “Moon Shot 8005-2B”, “Seine 6005-2B”, and “Rugged Suede 4003-2B”. I didn’t really know what those meant, but the pictures looked nice. There were also some other colors like “Iron Frost 4007-2B” and “Almost Charcoal 4008-2B.”
- Checked the website: First thing I did was jump onto the Valspar website. Tons of purses, it was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
- Looked at the colors: I’m not gonna lie, the color names were confusing. “Moon Shot”? “Rugged Suede”? What does that even mean? But hey, the pictures looked good, so I kept looking.
- Noticed the “Light Reflective Value”: There was some info about something called “Light Reflective Value” (LRV). Apparently, it’s about how much light the color reflects. I guess that’s important for paint, but for a purse? I wasn’t sure.
I ended up picking a color called “Crucible 4006-2B”. I read somewhere that it has RGB values of 101,108. Whatever that means. I went ahead and ordered it since I liked the pictures and colors shown on the website.
After a few days, the purse arrived. It was a good choice to me. Also, I saw a tag that mentioned something about the “Valspar Refinish system”. I guess that’s how they make the purses look good? I don’t know, but I liked it.
Final Thoughts
So yeah, that’s my experience buying a Valspar purse. It was a bit of a gamble, not knowing much about the colors or the “Refinish system” or whatever, but I’m happy with my purchase. It’s a nice purse, and I like the color. If you’re looking for a new purse, maybe give Valspar a try. Just be prepared for some weird color names!
