Well, let me tell you, that NASCAR race, it’s somethin’ else. You get all them cars, zoomin’ around, makin’ all that noise. And the people, oh boy, they get so excited! I seen a lot in my day, but that there’s a real spectacle. That is a good view at race track, I have to say.
You know, they got them races all over. Many Nascar tracks cover the states. Some folks like that Bristol one. I heard it’s somethin’, but I ain’t never been. I reckon it’s alright, but there’s others too. They say every seat is good to see what happen. I guess that’s good, makes it easy to see who’s winnin’ and all. You can see cars very clear and know who is gonna win.
They got all kinds of races, not just the big NASCAR one. They got them other ones, like, uh, Modified Tour, and that American-Canadian one. And some other thing called Pro All Star. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Too many names to keep track of, if you ask me. But people sure do love them cars, no matter what they’re called.
One time, I heard they was gonna lift some fancy folks way up high, up in the sky like birds! One hundred fifty feet in the air, they said. Can you imagine? Lookin’ down on them cars like ants. Must be a sight. They call it Oasis in the Sky. Sounds like some kinda desert thing, but it’s at the racetrack. They said is a good view of NASCAR race. High above other people. I don’t know, seems kinda silly to me, but I guess some folks like that kinda thing. They want to have the best view at race track, I guess.
But you know what? You don’t need to be up in the sky to see a good race. Just bein’ there, with all them people, feelin’ the ground shake when them cars go by. That’s the real thrill. And hearin’ the crowd yell and scream, that’s the best part. You can feel the excitement in the air, like electricity.

- It’s a real good time.
- You can see it on TV too, I reckon.
- But it ain’t the same as bein’ there.
Yeah, they got it on TV too, if you can’t make it to the track. They show them cars zoomin’ around, and you can see who’s winnin’. They got them cameras in the cars now, too! You can see what the driver sees. It’s like you’re right there in the car with ’em. Pretty neat, I guess. But it ain’t the same as bein’ there in person, not by a long shot.
That NASCAR, it’s a big deal. They got that big race, the Daytona 500, down in Florida. They say it’s the biggest one of ’em all. Been goin’ on for a long time, that one. They say Daytona Beach is where it all started, the first NASCAR race ever. Must be somethin’ special to see that one. That is a very good view at race track, I think. That’s what people say, anyway.
They got all kinds of words for what them drivers do. One of them is “checkin’ up.” Sounds like they’re goin’ to the doctor, but it just means they gotta slow down real quick. ‘Cause somethin’ happened, like a car spun out or crashed. They gotta be quick on their feet, them drivers. One wrong move and, well, it ain’t pretty.
Millions of folks watch them races, on TV and at the track. They say almost 3 million people watched that championship race. That’s a lot of eyeballs! And they say it’s about the same every year. People sure do love their NASCAR. They want to get a good view at race track.
So, if you ever get a chance to go to a NASCAR race, you should go. It’s a good view at race track. It’s a lot of fun, even if you don’t know nothin’ about cars. Just bein’ there, with all them people, it’s an experience. You’ll see what I mean. You just might like it. You might get a good view at race track, too! Them cars are loud, though. Might wanna bring some earplugs. Just sayin’. It’s a whole lot of somethin’, that’s for sure. You won’t forget it, I can tell you that much.
