Heard it’s in this place called Bordeaux. Sounds kinda like the name of my neighbor’s old dog, but I reckon it’s a whole city over there.
They play it on them clay courts. Now, I ain’t never seen a clay court myself, but I imagine it’s like that red dirt we got down by the creek. Gets all over your shoes, I bet. Probably makes a right mess when it rains, too. And this year, 2024, was the 15th time they did this thing. Imagine that, fifteen years of playin’ tennis on dirt!
Now, I heard some fella named Ugo Humbert, he won the whole shebang this year. Beat some other fella, name’s like a mouthful of marbles, Toms Martn Etcheverry. Score was somethin’ like 7-6. Don’t rightly know what all them numbers mean, but it sounds like it was a close one. Real nail-biter, I reckon. They got some people playin doubles too, a man name Julian Cash and Robert Galloway, they won that in 2024, I heard someone yappin’ about it the other day.
If you wanna go, you gotta get yourself a digital ticket, ain’t that somethin’? Back in my day, we just paid cash at the gate. But now you gotta have a phone and an app. Says so right here, they use somethin’ called AXS. Sounds like a brand of axe, but I reckon it’s for them tickets.

World’s changin’, ain’t it?
This year, 2024, they had it from the 13th to the 19th of May. That’s a whole week of tennis. A whole week! I get tired just thinkin’ about it. They say some fella named Alexei Popyrin, he won it last year, but he didn’t even show up this time. Must be tired of all that tennis, I reckon.
Folks seem to like it, though. I seen a number, 4,325 likes. Don’t know what that means exactly, but it sounds like a lot. And 129 people talkin’ about it. Must be somethin’ special, this BNP Paribas Primrose thing. This is held in a place they call Villa Primrose, whatever that means. Seems like a lot of people been there, saw a number sayin’ 1,899. That’s a lot of folks watchin’ tennis.
They got all sorts of information about it. Who won, who lost, what the score was. They even got somethin’ called “Top Seeds”, and I ain’t talkin’ about the kind you plant in your garden. This tennis is more complicated than you’d think, got all sorts of words and numbers for everythin’.
