Alright, let’s talk about the Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am. What a day, what an experience! I mean, I’ve played in a few tournaments, but this was something else.

First off, I got up early, like, really early. The sun wasn’t even up yet. I grabbed my clubs, chugged some coffee, and headed out to the course. I wanted to get a good warm-up in, you know, hit the range, practice my putting, all that jazz. It’s important to get a good feel for the greens, especially in a place like Myrtle Beach where the wind can be a real factor.
- Arrived at the course, and man, it was beautiful.
- Checked in, got my pairings.
- Warmed up on the range for like an hour.
- Moved to putting practice.
Then came the actual tournament. I was paired with some great folks, a couple of real characters. We teed off, and it was game on. I played pretty well, a few bogeys here and there, but I managed to sink a couple of birdies, which felt great.
The course itself was in amazing shape. The fairways were like carpets, and the greens were fast, like, really fast. You had to have a soft touch, or you’d be three-putting all day. I was working on my swing all day, trying to keep it smooth, and trying not to let the pressure get to me. Switched my clubs based on the distance, you know the drill.
Spent the day chatting with my playing partners, swapping stories, giving each other tips. It was a real blast, even if my back was killing me by the end of it.
The Outcome
By the end of the day, I was exhausted, but it was a good kind of exhausted. I didn’t win, but I didn’t embarrass myself either. Most importantly, I had a ton of fun, met some great people, and got to play on a fantastic course. And hey, any day you get to spend on a golf course is a good day, right? Plus, they gave us these cool hats, so that’s a win in my book.

It was a classic one for sure. It’s all about getting out there and just play, that is what I always say.
