So, I heard about this thing called ‘posolo’ the other day. Sounded like some fancy new way to get your digital life in order, you know, all those old files and forgotten folders. Figured, why not? My computer’s a mess, always has been. So, I decided to give this posolo method a whirl over the weekend. Thought it’d be a straightforward job: label a few things, delete some junk, archive the rest. Easy peasy.

I started with my ‘Old Projects’ directory. Seemed like the most logical place to begin the great posolo experiment. At first, it was just like I imagined. Dragging, dropping, renaming. A bit boring, to be honest. I was kinda patting myself on the back, thinking, “Look at me, being all organized.”
The Deeper I Dug with Posolo
Then, the ‘posolo-ing’ got real. The deeper I went, the more I realized this wasn’t just about sorting files. It was like digging through layers of my own past. Some good, some… well, not so good. I found stuff I hadn’t thought about in years. Old photos, half-finished writing, and then, bam. I hit a folder named simply ‘Project Titan’. My stomach did a little flip.
Project Titan. Man, oh man. That wasn’t just any project. That was supposed to be THE project. This was, what, five, six years ago? Me and a couple of buddies, we were gonna change the world with this thing. Or at least, change our bank accounts, ha! We poured everything into it.
Remembering ‘Project Titan’
Opening that folder, thanks to my little posolo adventure, was like opening a time capsule. All the documents were there:
- The overly optimistic business plan.
- Dozens of versions of the logo, none of which we ever truly loved.
- Code snippets that probably don’t even compile anymore.
- And the email chains… oh, the email chains. Endless discussions about features that never got built.
We worked insane hours. Lived on coffee and instant noodles. We were so sure, so absolutely convinced this was it. We pitched to anyone who would listen. Got a few nibbles, some encouraging words, but never the big bite we needed. And then, slowly, reality started to creep in. The money was running out, enthusiasm was waning, and little arguments started turning into big ones. It just… fizzled. No big explosion, just a slow, quiet death. We all just drifted apart after that, too bruised to even talk about it much.

Looking back at it now, through these old files, it’s funny. It doesn’t sting as much. It’s more like watching an old movie where you know the ending but still appreciate the effort of the actors. We were naive, sure. Made a ton of mistakes. But man, we tried. We really, really tried.
So, this whole ‘posolo’ thing. Did I finish organizing all my files? Nope. Not even close. Project Titan sidetracked me for a good few hours. But you know what? It was probably more useful than just shuffling digital bits and bytes around. It made me remember. Made me think. Sometimes, I guess, you start a cleanup and end up unearthing more than just dust.
I still see one of the ‘Titan’ guys around town sometimes. We nod. Maybe one day we’ll actually grab that beer we always said we would. Who knows? For now, that ‘Project Titan’ folder is still sitting there on my desktop. Maybe I’ll posolo it properly next weekend. Or maybe not.
