Okay, so I’ve been sinking a lot of time into Marvel Rivals lately, you know how it is. Fun game. But one thing that started nagging at me were the ultimate voice lines. You hear ’em pop off in the middle of a chaotic fight, and sometimes they sound super cool, sometimes kinda funny depending on the character.
At first, I just played. Figured I’d naturally hear them all eventually, right? Every time I managed to pull off an ult with someone like Hulk or Iron Man, I’d try to pay attention to what they yelled. Same when teammates or enemies used theirs. But man, it’s tough. Half the time there’s explosions and laser sounds covering everything up. Or maybe I just wasn’t playing certain heroes enough to hear theirs often.
Digging In For The Lines
So, I decided I really wanted to know what each character says when they hit that big button. My first thought was, “Someone must have listed these online.” I started digging around. Checked out some fan wikis, poked around discussion boards where people talk about the game. Watched a bunch of gameplay clips specifically looking for ultimate activations.
It was kinda hit or miss, honestly. Some sites had a few lines listed, but nobody seemed to have everything all in one place, especially verified stuff. Some videos cut off the audio too quick, or the streamer was talking over it. Annoying.
- I started just jotting down the ones I heard clearly myself in my own games.
- Then I added ones I found repeated across a few different online spots.
- Cross-referenced clips when I could find ’em to make sure the quote was right.
Took a while, actually. Had a notepad file going, just listing character names and the lines I could confirm. Had to re-listen to some audio snippets multiple times to catch the exact wording. You’d think it’d be simple, but nope. Sometimes the accent or the sound effects made it tricky.
Getting The Collection Together
After a few sessions focused just on this, playing different characters and actively hunting online, I felt like I finally had a decent handle on the main ultimate lines for most of the roster available right now. It’s not like super official or anything, just what I managed to piece together through playing and digging.
It was kinda satisfying, though. Like solving a small puzzle. Now when I hear Doctor Strange yell his thing or Magneto doing his dramatic speech, I know exactly what’s coming. Feels good, man. Anyway, that was my little side quest in Marvel Rivals – tracking down those ultimate lines. Just thought I’d share the process.
