Okay, so, I’m a huge Steelers fan, right? And like any good fan, I gotta catch every game. But sometimes I just blank on where to find them. It’s like, which channel is it this week? Is it on the usual network? I hate it when I miss the start of a game because I’m flipping through channels like a madman.

So, last week, I decided to get organized. I grabbed my phone and started looking around. First, I checked the official Steelers site, but it wasn’t super clear. Then I remembered those sports news sites. I went to one, and it took some digging, but I finally found the info I needed. It said the game was going to be on CBS, which here in Pittsburgh is KDKA. Whew, found it!
Then there was that other time where the official site had a schedule list. It went something like:
- Week 1 September 10 L 30-7 vs 49ers
- Week 2 September 18 W 26-22 vs Browns
- Week 3 September 24 W 23-18 @ Raiders
Helpful, but still doesn’t tell me the channels. Also saw something that had a pregame show thingy called “BetMGM Steelers Kickoff” that starts at 1:00 PM ET, which is great because you don’t want to miss that either! I’ll admit, I also stumbled upon some random bits about the team, like their defense being ranked second and something about a player named J.K. Dobbins being good.
But here’s the thing, I realized I needed a go-to place for this. So, I found this website that lets you personalize the Steelers schedule based on your location. Now that’s what I’m talking about! No more guessing games.
But I also learned that sometimes it’s not even on TV! I think it was last week, I had to find a radio station. They called it the “Steelers Audio Network” or something. It started at 8:15 p.m. ET, with a pregame at 4:15 p.m. ET, that’s a long pregame! Then, after the game, there is a postgame show immediately after. Those radio guys have it easy.

What I Learned
Basically, I learned that I need to be prepared. It’s not always the same channel, and sometimes it’s not even on TV. You gotta check those schedules and maybe find a website that personalizes it for you. And don’t forget about the pregame shows – those are important too! I hope this helps out my fellow Steelers fans. Go Steelers!
