Okay, so, the 2018 Brazilian Grand Prix… Man, what a race! I remember I really wanted to get the full experience, so I went all in.

Getting Started
First things first, I dug out my old racing wheel and pedals. They were gathering dust in the attic, but I figured, hey, if I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna do it right. I hooked everything up to my PC, which, thankfully, still had that old F1 game installed.
Practice Makes Perfect (Sort Of)
I jumped straight into a practice session. Let me tell you, it had been a while! I was spinning out all over the place, crashing into walls, basically a total disaster. The other drivers must have thought I was a complete noob (which, to be fair, I kind of was at that point).
- Lap 1: Total mess. Off the track multiple times.
- Lap 2: Slightly better. Only crashed once. Progress!
- Lap 3-10: Still rough, but I started to get a feel for the track and the car.
The Qualifying Run
After a good few hours of practice, I felt… well, not good, but good enough to try qualifying. I took a deep breath, gripped the wheel, and went for it. I still wasn’t super fast, but I managed to put in a decent lap. No pole position, but I was somewhere in the middle of the pack. Good enough for me!
Race Day!
Race day was intense! I got off to a pretty good start, avoiding the usual first-corner chaos. I managed to gain a few positions in the first few laps, which was a huge boost.
The middle of the race was a real grind. I was battling with some other drivers, trading places back and forth. My tires were starting to wear down, and I was struggling to keep up the pace. I even had a couple of close calls, almost spinning out a few times.

The Final Stretch
Towards the end, I pushed as hard as I could. I was determined to finish strong. I managed to overtake a couple more cars, and I crossed the finish line in… well, not first place, but a respectable position. I was pretty happy with that, considering how rusty I was.
All in all, revisiting the 2018 Brazilian Grand Prix was a blast. It brought back some great memories, and even though I wasn’t actually there, I felt like I was part of the action. Definitely an experience I wanted to remember again and that’s my sharing.
