Okay, so today I was watching “Breaking Bad” again. I was thinking about what happened to Lydia, that lady who was always super nervous and worked with the Nazis.

First, I rewound a few episodes back to when Lydia first showed up. She was all about business, but you could tell she was freaking out on the inside. Remember how she was always tapping her foot and drinking that weird tea with stevia? Classic Lydia.
Then, I skipped ahead to the part where she starts working with Todd and his uncle’s gang. Man, those guys were bad news. Lydia was basically forced to help them cook meth, and she was always trying to double-cross them. I gotta say, she was pretty smart about it, even if she was scared.
- She tried to get Mike to kill a bunch of people, but that didn’t work out.
- She gave Walt that list of names to take out Gus’s old crew. Cold-blooded!
- She even helped Walt expand his meth empire overseas. That was a big move.
Fast forwarding to the end, I watched that scene where Walt poisons her. He swapped her stevia with ricin during one of their meetings at the coffee shop. She didn’t even see it coming.
Finally, I paid close attention to the last time we see her. She’s on the phone with Todd, and she’s starting to feel really sick. Walt picks up the phone and tells her what he did. The look on her face! She finally realizes it’s all over.
My Thoughts
It was kind of a sad ending for Lydia, even though she did some messed up stuff. She was always in over her head, trying to survive in a crazy world. Walt definitely got the last laugh, though. What a crazy ride!
