The more I looked, the more it was clear that football is king in Chad. They’ve got players who’ve even gone on to play in France, which is pretty major. There’s this one guy, Nambatingue Tokomon, they call him Toko, who played for some big-shot French teams.

But it’s not all about football. Judo is getting big, too. I read that in 2017, the new president of their National Olympic Committee was the president of the Judo Federation. That tells you something, right? Judo’s making moves.

Basketball’s got a solid following, especially in the urban areas. Their national team’s been stepping up their game, too. I guess they’re getting more competitive on the international scene, which is cool to see.
