Alright, so you know I had to try the Burger King Deadpool Meal when I saw it. I mean, come on, Deadpool and burgers? That’s my kind of combo.
First things first, I drove over to my local BK. It wasn’t too crowded, thankfully. I hate waiting in line when I’m hungry.
Ordered the Deadpool Meal. The guy at the counter didn’t seem too thrilled, maybe he’s not a Deadpool fan? Whatever, I was stoked.
Got my food, grabbed a table, and started digging in. Okay, so it’s basically a Whopper with bacon and Swiss cheese, plus fries and a small drink. Not exactly groundbreaking, but I was hoping the execution would be decent.
The Whopper itself… Honestly, it was a pretty standard Whopper. The bacon was crispy, which is always a plus. The Swiss cheese was… there. Didn’t really add a whole lot of flavor, but whatever. The bun was soft, and the patty was cooked okay. Nothing to write home about, but not bad either.
Fries were fries. You know, salty, greasy, potato-y goodness. I dipped them in ketchup, as you do. They were hot, so that’s a win.
Drink was… a Dr. Pepper. Because why not? It went well with the burger and fries.
Overall? It’s a decent meal. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying. If you like Whoppers, you’ll probably like the Deadpool Meal. Is it worth going out of your way for? Maybe not. But if you’re already at Burger King, it’s worth a try, especially if you’re a Deadpool fan like me.
Would I get it again? Probably. It’s a solid burger, and sometimes you just want a quick and easy meal.
- Burger: Standard Whopper with bacon and Swiss
- Fries: Classic Burger King fries
- Drink: Dr. Pepper
The Verdict:
Good, not great, but good. A solid Burger King experience, fueled by Deadpool marketing. I’d give it a 7/10. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go re-watch the Deadpool movies.
