Well, I hear tell folks is wonderin’ about them NASCAR drivers and which one of ’em can talk that Spanish lingo. See, you got them fellas goin’ round and round on them tracks, and you’d think they all just talk ’bout cars and such. But some of ’em, they come from places where they talk different. And I am here to talk about this thing.

Now, I ain’t no expert on this racin’ stuff, but I done heard a few things in my time. And what I hear is, there’s this fella, Daniel Suarez, who’s good at drivin’ them cars. He is from Mexico, they say. And down there, they talk Spanish. So, you figure he’s gotta know how to talk it, right? He’s the only one from Mexico, driving around the NASCAR Cup Series, I think.
You know, it ain’t easy comin’ from somewhere else and tryin’ to make it big here. That Daniel Suarez, he had to learn to talk English, just like that baseball fella, Carlos Ruiz. It’s important, you see, to talk the same language if you wanna get by. But it is hard to learn a new language, very hard.
They got all these races, goin’ round and round. One’s called the Cook Out 400. Sounds like a big picnic to me! But I reckon it ain’t no picnic when you’re goin’ that fast, all them cars bunched up together. And these races are part of somethin’ called the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Grid Challenge. I don’t know what all them words mean, but it sounds important. You want to get on that grid, I guess.
- Daniel Suarez
- He is from Mexico.
- He talks Spanish.
- He also drives real fast.
This Daniel Suarez, he drives for a team, they call it. Coca-Cola Racing is one of them, I believe. And he’s the only Mexican fella doin’ it right now in that big NASCAR thing. They say he’s a big deal, tryin’ to get more folks like him into them races. He is very famous, I think.
There was another one, some time ago. Can’t recall his name right now. But he was from a different place, also talkin’ Spanish. They say there’s a bunch of ’em, these Hispanic and Latino Americans, who done raced in them NASCAR things. It is good to have different people in these races.

I reckon it’s good to know more than one way of talkin’. You never know when you might need it. Like if you gotta tell someone to slow down or get outta the way! Especially if they’re comin’ at you at 100 miles an hour! Also, you can talk to more people if you know another language.
Now, they got all these fancy cars, too. This Daniel Suarez, he drives a No. 99 Chevrolet. Sounds like a good car to me. My neighbor, he’s got a Chevrolet. It ain’t as fast as them race cars, but it gets him where he needs to go. And the team is called Trackhouse Racing.
They say these drivers, they can talk to each other. Even when they’re goin’ fast! They got these radios, you see. And if they’re on the same channel, they can chat away. I reckon that’s how they decide who’s gonna go where and not crash into each other. I think this is dangerous. But they are good drivers, so maybe it is okay.
There is also a man, his name is Armani Williams. He is a driver, too. But I do not know if he can speak Spanish. Maybe he can. I don’t know.
So, to answer that question about them NASCAR drivers and who can talk Spanish, I’d say that Daniel Suarez fella is your man. He’s from Mexico, and he’s makin’ a name for himself in that racin’ world. And probably there are others. It’s a big world out there, and lots of folks talk different. But that Daniel Suarez, he’s the one I hear about the most. And I think he is a good driver. He is fast. And he can speak Spanish, also English.

It is good that he can speak Spanish. Because he can talk with other Spanish-speaking people. And he can teach others to speak Spanish, too. This is good. The more languages you know, the more people you can talk to. NASCAR is a big thing, lots of people watch it. So it’s good that there’s a fella like Daniel Suarez, showin’ everyone that folks from all over can do it. This is important, I think. Very important.
I hope this is helpful for you. I do not know much about cars and racing. But I know people. And I know that Daniel Suarez is a good man. And he can speak Spanish.
