Hey there, you wanna know what time is nascar start? I hear you. My boy, he’s always watching that NASCAR, cars going round and round. Makes me dizzy just thinkin’ about it. But he loves it, so I try to keep up.

So, NASCAR, that’s them car races, right? They usually on Sunday. Yeah, most of the time the big race, that NASCAR start time is 3 p.m. ET. That’s Eastern Time. Like when the sun is high up but startin’ to go down a bit. You know. 3 o’clock. My old clock, the one with the little bird, it goes cuckoo then. That’s how I remember.
When NASCAR Start?
They got different races, I think. This big one, the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race, that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Well, that’s a big deal. And it is also 3 p.m. ET on Sunday. They race them cars down in, uh, Phoenix? Yeah, Phoenix Raceway. Sounds hot. I don’t like it too hot.
But sometimes, they have other races, not the championship one. I seen one, they called it the Xfinity something, whatever it is. That one was earlier, 2 p.m. ET. You gotta check which race it is, I guess. That one was in Martinsville, wherever that is. Seems like they move these races around a lot. Keeps you on your toes, I reckon.
Where to Watch NASCAR?
- NBC
- USA Network
- Fox
- FS1
Now, you wanna watch it? My boy, he watches it on the TV. They got it on different channels. It is confusing. I think the big NASCAR Championship, that’s on NBC. That’s the one with the peacock, right?
But sometimes, it’s on that USA Network, or Fox, or that other one, FS1? I don’t know. Too many channels. We used to just have three channels, and that was plenty. But now, you need a whole book to figure out what’s on where.

If you got cable, you probably got all them channels. I don’t know about that streaming stuff. My boy, he set up somethin’ called fubo on the TV. Says we can watch it there too. He says it’s got all them channels, NBC, USA, Fox, FS1. Says you can watch NASCAR on Roku. I don’t know what a Roku is, but the boy seems to like it. It is free he says, but I don’t know nothing about free, everything costs money these days.
Anyways, NASCAR start time, usually 3 p.m. ET on Sunday. But you better check which race it is, and which channel. It can get confusing, I tell ya.
What is NASCAR Cup Series?
That NASCAR Cup thing, that’s the big one. The one everyone wants to win. Like the Super Bowl of car racin’, I guess. They race all year, and then they have this big championship race at the end. It is a big deal for them drivers and their teams, who put a lot of work in it.
They got all them fancy sponsors, and the cars are all colorful. My grandson, he can name all them drivers. I can’t keep ’em straight. They all look the same to me in them helmets.
And they go so fast! I don’t know how they don’t crash all the time. Makes me nervous just watching. But the boy, he loves it. He gets all excited when there’s a close race. And he yells at the TV. I tell him, it ain’t gonna change anything, yellin’ at the TV. But he don’t listen to me. Young folks, they never do.

Why People Like NASCAR
I guess folks like NASCAR ’cause it’s excitin’. Them cars goin’ fast, the competition, all that. It’s like a big show. And it’s somethin’ to do on a Sunday afternoon.
We used to just sit on the porch on Sundays. Watch the cars go by. Not race cars, just regular cars. It was peaceful. Now, everyone’s inside watchin’ TV. Times change, I guess.
But I’m glad the boy has somethin’ he enjoys. Even if it is noisy and makes me dizzy. And even I don’t know what time is nascar start exactly, he always reminds me. As long as he’s happy, that’s all that matters. And it is good to have something to talk about. He explains me things about NASCAR and we can have a good time.
Well, I gotta go. My stories are probably borin’ you. But that’s all I know about that NASCAR. 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, usually, for the NASCAR start time. Don’t forget to check the channel!
