Alright, let me tell you about trying to find the Mets game on the radio the other day. I was out, couldn’t get to a TV, but I really wanted to know what was happening with the game. You know how it is, sometimes you just gotta listen.

So, I figured, radio’s the way to go. Pulled out my phone and started poking around online. My first thought was just typing in something basic like ‘mets radio broadcast’. Did that, got a bunch of results, typical stuff.
Digging for the Station
It wasn’t immediately obvious, gotta say. Scrolled through a few pages, saw some discussions here and there. Took a little bit of digging, clicking around different search results. You kinda have to sift through sometimes to get the straight answer.
Finally, I landed on the key bit of info. Turns out, the main place to catch pretty much every Mets game is their flagship station. Found out that it’s WHSQ 880. That seemed to be the consistent answer I was looking for. That’s the spot you wanna tune into.
Other Ways I Found
While I was searching, I also saw mentions of other ways to listen. Like, if you have one of those satellite radio subscriptions, the SiriusXM thing.
- Apparently, they carry the games too. So that’s an option if you’re already subscribed to that service.
But yeah, for regular old AM radio, WHSQ 880 is the main station they kept pointing to. Took me a few minutes, but I got it sorted. Now I know where to tune in next time I can’t watch. Pretty straightforward once you find that station number.
