Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here Thorpedo Anna and that jockey fella. Don’t know much ’bout fancy horse racin’, but I heard tell this here Thorpedo Anna is one heck of a horse. Fast, real fast, they say. Like a greased pig at the county fair, only bigger and prettier, I reckon.

This jockey, Brian Hernandez Jr. is his name, seems like a good ol’ boy. Been ridin’ Thorpedo Anna in all her races, they tell me. And winnin’ too! Must be somethin’ special ’bout him, knowin’ how to handle a horse like that. Ridin’ horses ain’t easy, ya know. I tried ridin’ old Bessie, our mule, once, and ended up in a ditch. These jockeys, they got a knack for it, I guess.
Now, this Thorpedo Anna, she’s a real winner. Won all sorts of races, big ones too, they say. Grade 1 somethin’ or other. Sounds important. They even call her a champion, like them big ol’ bulls they show off at the livestock show. And that Brian fella, he’s been right there with her, guidin’ her along, makin’ sure she crosses that finish line first. Must be a good team, them two.
- Thorpedo Anna’s a fast horse
- Brian Hernandez Jr. is her jockey
- They win a lot of races
I heard tell that this here horse, Thorpedo Anna, wasn’t supposed to be nothin’ special. Her daddy wasn’t no big shot, and her mama had a rough start, they say. But look at her now! A real champion, just like that little engine that could, chuggin’ along and winnin’ against all odds. And Brian, he’s the one steerin’ that engine, makin’ sure it stays on track.
There’s this fella, Kenny McPeek, he’s the one who trains Thorpedo Anna. He’s like the coach, tellin’ the horse and the jockey what to do. Sounds like he knows his stuff, seein’ as how well Thorpedo Anna’s been doin’. He and Brian, they must work together real good, makin’ a plan and stickin’ to it. That’s how ya win, ya know, workin’ together and havin’ a good plan.
This Thorpedo Anna, she even won some big race called the Breeders’ Cup Distaff. Two million dollars they won! That’s a whole lotta money, more than I’ll ever see in my lifetime, that’s for sure. And Brian, he was right there, ridin’ her hard, bringin’ home the win. Must be a thrill, ridin’ a horse like that, feelin’ the wind in your hair, hearin’ the crowd cheer. Not that I’d know, mind you, I get dizzy just climbin’ up on a stool to reach the top shelf.

And then there’s this other thing, somethin’ ’bout the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks. Big races, I guess, and Kenny McPeek, he won ’em both in the same year! First time that’s happened in a long, long time, they say. And Brian, he rode both horses, Thorpedo Anna in one race and another horse in the other. That’s somethin’ special, right there. Two big wins, same fella ridin’ ’em both. He’s got the magic touch, that Brian.
So, yeah, this Thorpedo Anna and her jockey, Brian Hernandez Jr., they’re a team to be reckoned with. They got the horse, the jockey, and the trainer, all workin’ together like a well-oiled machine. And they’re winnin’, that’s the important part. Winnin’ races and bringin’ home the bacon, so to speak. Good for them, I say. They deserve it, workin’ hard and ridin’ fast.
Now, I don’t know all the fancy details ’bout horse racin’, but I know a winner when I see one. And Thorpedo Anna, with Brian Hernandez Jr. on her back, they’re winners, alright. Plain and simple. They got that somethin’ special, that fire in their belly, that drive to win. And that’s all that matters, when it comes down to it. Just keep on winnin’, that’s what I say. Keep on winnin’.
Thorpedo Anna, Brian Herandez Jr., and Kenny McPeek, that’s a winning team. They make it sound easy, but I know it ain’t. Takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck, I reckon. And them Brookdale Racing and Mark Edwards fellas, they own Thorpedo Anna. Guess they’re happy with how things are going.
This Fast Anna filly, that’s what they call her, is a real champion. And Brian Hernandez Jr. has been right there with her for every win. They make a good team, them two. Hope they keep on winning’ for a long time to come.
