Well, I tell ya, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that NASCAR truck series championship. Sounds like a big ol’ deal, them trucks goin’ round and round. They say this fella, Ty Majeski, he done won the whole shebang. Good for him, I reckon. He must be a right speedy fella in that there truck of his.
They say he won down in Phoenix. That’s a long ways away, ain’t it? Must be hot down there. I hear he was leadin’ most of the race. Just zoomin’ on by, leavin’ them other fellas in the dust. One hundred and thirty-two laps, I heard someone say. That’s a whole heap of laps! My old bones would be achin’ somethin’ fierce after all that, I can tell ya that much.
This here Ty Majeski, he’s the winner, alright. They call it the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just a bunch of trucks racin’, far as I can tell. Still, winning is winning, I reckon. I bet he was happy as a pig in mud. And he got himself a title, a championship I hear it called. He’s the champion, they say!

- They done won a bunch of these championships, it seems like.
- Three in the last four years, and two in a row, that is a lot!
That ThorSport Racing, they must know a thing or two about them race trucks. It takes a good team to make those things go fast. It ain’t just the driver, ya know. You gotta have good folks workin’ on the truck, makin’ sure it’s runnin’ just right. Just like a good cook, you need all the right ingredients for a good meal, that team need the best folks to win, it is not easy I tell you.
There was another fella, Corey Heim, I think his name was. He won somethin’ called Stage 1. Don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds important. Then Ty won somethin’ called Stage 2. Sounds like they got all sorts of different races within the big race. They are really having a lot of fun, right? A lot of winners in one race, but only one champion.
And this race, it was the last one of the year. They call it the season finale. Like the end of a TV show, I suppose. Now all them drivers can rest their weary bones ’til next year. Except this Ty, he can rest easy knowin’ he’s the NASCAR truck series champion. That NASCAR Craftsman truck series is really popular.
I heard some other fella, Joey Logano, won some other race. A different kind of race, I reckon. But it don’t matter none to me. All I know is this Ty Majeski, he won the truck series championship. And he won it good, too, leadin’ all them laps.
They say this Ty fella, he used to be an engineer. Smart fella, I reckon. Now he’s a race car driver. Just goes to show ya, you never know where life’s gonna take ya. One day you’re an engineer, the next you’re the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion! Life’s a funny thing, ain’t it?
This is a big win for him, you know, the NASCAR truck series championship is a big deal. They gave him an award or something, too. And this other guy, Rajah Caruth, got the award for the most popular driver. You gotta be a nice guy to get that, I suppose. But Ty Majeski, he’s the real winner today, winning this big race in Phoenix. I am so happy for him, such a big win, right?
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about that NASCAR truck series championship. Sounds like a lot of excitement for them folks who like that sort of thing. Me, I’m just gonna sit here on my porch and watch the world go by. But good for that Ty Majeski. He done good. He’s the champion, and that’s somethin’ to be proud of. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck series is amazing! I hope he will win more races in the future, good luck to him. He is a good driver, I think.
