That Magic Johnson, he sure knows how to pick a winner! I heard on the radio that his team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, they’re something special. Two billion dollars, they say! That’s a whole heap of money, more than I can even count. But it seems like it was money well spent, right?
They bought that team, the Dodgers, you know, a while back. 2012 I think it was. From some fella named Frank. Frank McCourt, I think his name was. He only paid 430 million for it! My oh my, how times change. Magic and some other rich folks, they swooped in and took over. Good for them! Sounds like that Frank fella didn’t know what he was doing.
Magic, he’s always been a winner. Back in his basketball days, with the Lakers, he was always smiling and winning. Now he’s winning with the Dodgers, too. It’s always good to see hard work pay off like that, huh?
This Magic Johnson fella, he’s part of the group that owns the Dodgers now. That Guggenheim Group, they call ’em. Mark Walter, that’s the big boss man’s name, I reckon. Seems like they know a thing or two about baseball, or at least about making money!
