Alright, let’s gab about this football stuff, the Chiefs and their games. I heard some folks yappin’ about whether they moved a game or somethin’. Don’t know much about fancy schedules, but I can tell ya what I heard.
So, first off, that game with the Dolphins, the one they were frettin’ about? They didn’t move it. Nope, played it right on time. Why? ‘Cause it was cold! Imagine that, bein’ too cold to play football. Back in my day, we played in any weather, but these fellas are different, I guess.

Now, about them throwin’ the ball so much in one game… I ain’t no expert, but even I could see somethin’ was off. Too much throwin’, not enough runnin’. Heard someone say it was the coach’s fault. Said he messed up. Happens to the best of ’em, I reckon. Even that fella, what’s his name? Andy? Yeah, even he goofs up sometimes.
Then there’s this talk about playin’ on Saturday. People were all confused, wonderin’ why. Well, it turns out the Raiders lost a game and were out of the playoffs. So, I guess that changed things. Made ’em play on Saturday. Seems kinda strange, but what do I know? It’s all a bunch of rigmarole to me. Football should be played on Sunday that’s how the good lord intended it to be.
And get this, they even stopped a game for a bit! A playoff game, no less. The one where the Chiefs beat them Ravens. Stopped it right in the middle. Never seen anything like it. But hey, I guess they got their reasons. Probably somethin’ important, or maybe they just needed a break. Who knows?
But here’s the thing that really gets me. This whole fuss about the Chiefs’ name and that Injun picture they got. Been goin’ on for years, they say. Some folks don’t like it, say it’s disrespectful. Well, maybe it is, maybe it ain’t. I don’t rightly know. But it seems like they been arguin’ about it forever.
They moved to Kansas City a long time ago, too. Used to be in Dallas, I think. But then some fella named Hunt, he moved ’em. Said it was for the good of the league. And then they changed their name to the Chiefs. That’s the story I heard, anyway.

And them Chiefs, they sure do like to win in crazy ways. Like that game against the Raiders. Almost lost it, but then they pulled it out at the last second. Recovered a fumble or somethin’. Folks were jumpin’ and hollerin’. It was somethin’ else.
Another time, they lost a tough one. But the other team, they made some good plays when they needed to. That’s how football goes, I guess. One day you’re winnin’, the next day you’re losin’.
So, did they move a Chiefs game? Well, it depends on which game you’re talkin’ about. That Dolphins game, nope. That Raiders game, yep, they moved it to Saturday. And sometimes they stop games for a bit, or they throw the ball too much. It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me. But that’s football for ya. Always somethin’ goin’ on, always somethin’ to talk about.
And let me tell ya, this whole thing about watchin’ the games on TV… it used to be you could just turn on the TV and there it was, no fancy channels or nothin’. Now they got all sorts of deals and packages. Makes an old lady’s head spin. But they say it’s important to have the games on regular TV so everyone can watch, even folks like me who don’t have all them fancy cable things.
