Man, I’ve been drooling over the Suzuki B-King for what feels like forever. Ever since I saw it at the Tokyo Bike Show, I just knew I had to get my hands on one. I mean, just look at that beast! It’s got a 1,340cc engine, the heart of a Hayabusa, I saved and saved, and finally, the day came when I could make my dream a reality. I walked into the dealership, my heart pounding, I remember being one of the first guys to get one when they came out in the US, that was a good day. I was stoked.

I started doing my homework on the B-King. Reading reviews, watching videos, talking to other riders – you name it. The more I learned, the more I wanted it. It wasn’t just about the raw power, though that was definitely a big part of it. It was the whole package – the aggressive styling, the advanced tech, the sheer presence of the bike. It’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea – some people think it’s just too much. But that’s what I loved about it, it’s just a big, in-your-face machine.
I finally pulled the trigger and bought one, man, that first ride was something else. The power delivery is just insane. It’s like, you twist the throttle, and the world just blurs around you. This thing just wants to go, you know? It’s not just fast in a straight line, either. It handles surprisingly well for such a big bike. You can lean it over in the corners, and it just feels planted. You gotta respect the power, though, or it’ll bite you.
I’ve put a good few miles on it so far, and it’s been a blast. I’ve taken it on long road trips, blasting through different zip codes. I’ve done some track days with it, too. It’s not really a track bike, but it’s still fun to push it to the limit. The only thing is, the fuel economy isn’t great, but who cares when you’re having this much fun, right?
- Did a little bit of customization – new exhaust, some carbon fiber bits, the usual stuff.
- Tried to make it my own, but honestly, it’s pretty awesome right out of the box.
- Thought about adding more power but was already overpowered, but I did think about it.
Rode it for six months, and well, I started getting that itch again. You know, the itch for something even more powerful, maybe something a bit more refined. I kept thinking about the bike I really wanted. Don’t get me wrong, the B-King is an amazing machine, but sometimes I felt like Suzuki didn’t really give it their all. It felt like a bit of a novelty, you know? What I really wanted was a full-on sports tourer with that Hayabusa engine. I still do. I love it, but I sold it a while back. I miss it sometimes, but then I just go for a ride on my new bike. And I would not say I like it, but I know how to make money now. At that time, B-king was around 9.5 lakh, the last time I saw it.
That’s my story with the Suzuki B-King
It was a wild ride while it lasted. If you ever get a chance to ride one, do it. Just be prepared for a sensory overload.
