Alright folks, lemme tell you about my run through World 5-3 in Super Mario 3D World – you know, the one with all the Green Stars. It was a bit of a head-scratcher at first, but I got it down. So, pull up a chair and I’ll walk you through it.
First off, I started the level like anyone else. I just ran, jumped, and bonked Goombas. Nothing too special there. But then, I remembered, “Hey, gotta keep an eye out for those Green Stars!”
The first Green Star? Easy peasy. It’s right out in the open, kinda hard to miss. I think it’s after the first set of those stretchy platforms. Just jump and grab it. No biggie.
Now, the second Green Star is where things get a little tricky. I think I faceplanted like twice before I figured this one out. It’s hidden in a clear pipe, but you gotta activate it first. There’s a Green Star switch nearby. Hit that bad boy, and then hustle your butt into the pipe before time runs out. Seriously, gotta be quick. I was yelling at the screen the first time I missed it.
Okay, so the third Green Star. This one is a sneaky little devil. I spent way too much time just running past it like an idiot. It’s hidden in a little alcove off to the side. I remember I had to jump, spin in the air, and then do a wall jump to get up there. Keep an eye out for it after the checkpoint, it’s kinda tucked away. I almost rage quit looking for this one.
Finally, after grabbing all the Green Stars, I just finished the level like normal. Jumped on the flagpole, did a little dance, and moved on to the next challenge. World 5-3: Green Stars – conquered! It’s all about keeping your eyes peeled and not giving up, even when you think you’ve searched every nook and cranny.
Pro-tip: Use the Cat Suit. Seriously, it makes grabbing those out-of-reach stars a whole lot easier. The climbing ability is a lifesaver.
- Step 1: Play the level
- Step 2: Grab the 1st Green Star
- Step 3: Hit the Green Star Switch and get the 2nd Green Star
- Step 4: Do a wall jump to get the 3rd Green Star
