Alright, let’s talk about this Yamaha 2004 FZ6, ya know, the motorcycle. I ain’t no expert, but I’ll tell ya what I know, what I heard from folks, and what makes sense to an old woman like me.

First off, this bike, they say it’s got a 599cc engine. Now, I don’t know much about these “cc’s,” but sounds like a whole lotta power to me. They say it’s a four-cylinder thing, liquid-cooled, all fancy-like. Makes about 98 horsepower, they say. That’s a lot of horses, I reckon, more than my old mule ever had, that’s for sure!
And torque? Yeah, it’s got that too. 63 Nm, or 47 lb-ft, whatever that means. Seems like it’s got plenty of pull, good for gettin’ up them hills, or passin’ them slow cars on the highway, I guess.
Now, some folks say this FZ6 is like a tamed-down version of that R6 sportbike. You know, the real fast ones. But this one, it’s a bit more… civilized, I’d say. Good for everyday ridin’, not just for racin’ around like a maniac.
- Engine: 599cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled
- Power: 98 hp at 12,000 rpm
- Torque: 63 Nm (47 lb-ft) at 10,000 rpm
Some folks compare it to that other Yamaha, the FZ6R. They say the FZ6R is like the little brother, not as powerful. This FZ6, it’s got more horses, see? It revs higher too, so you can really get it goin’ if you want.
But don’t go thinkin’ this is just a speed demon. It’s comfortable too, they tell me. Well, as comfortable as a motorcycle can be, I suppose. You can ride it for a good while without your backside gettin’ too sore. Some folks even take ‘em on long trips. Now, I wouldn’t do that myself, but to each their own, I say.

Handling? Folks say it handles real nice. Goes around corners good, doesn’t wobble around too much. And it’s easy to take care of, they say, not too much fuss with all them fancy parts. And the price? Well, it ain’t the cheapest thing around, but it’s not gonna break the bank either. Seems like a pretty good deal, for what you get.
They also say the FZ6 can go from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds. Now that’s fast! Faster than a blink of an eye, I bet. But I ain’t never tried it myself, and I don’t recommend you go tryin’ it either. Safety first, I always say.
Some folks even put this FZ6 on some list of fastest motorcycles. Can you believe it? A little ol’ bike like this, mixing it up with the big boys. Well, I guess that tells you something about it, don’t it? It’s got the power, that’s for sure.
Now, if you’re lookin’ for a bike that’s got power, handles good, and won’t cost you a fortune, this Yamaha FZ6 might just be the ticket. It ain’t perfect, mind you, no bike is. But it’s a good, solid machine, from what I hear. And that’s good enough for me.
Remember, no matter what you ride, always be careful out there. Lots of crazy drivers on the road these days, you gotta keep your eyes peeled. And wear a helmet, for goodness sake! Your brain is too important to go bangin’ it up on the pavement. Now, I may be an old woman, but I still got some sense left in me, and I’m tellin’ you, safety is the most important thing. You hear me? Safety first!

So, there you have it. My two cents on this Yamaha 2004 FZ6. Take it or leave it, it’s up to you. But I reckon it’s a pretty good motorcycle, all things considered. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about motorcycles has made me hungry!
Years of production of the Yamaha FZ6 are somewhere from 2004 to 2009, so if you find one in good shape that might be a really good deal. They are reliable and they are fun, easy to maintain and cheap. What more could you want? That’s all I know about this bike, and that’s plenty, I’d say.
